Improves Stability and Savings21.2.2011EMS (European) launch the updated version of the standard single phase motor energy control, the SPMEC. This new version provides a more stable platform which will enhance savings opportunities in a wider range of applications from refrigeration through conveyors and pumps.A newly designed power supply and output stage configuration has improved the standard SPMEC single phase motor energy control’s performance moving it to be a real partner to the more sophisticated Enviro+. Though the Enviro+ has substantially greater capability the SPMEC still provides a low cost solution to smaller motors within the market. The range which consists of both 4A and 10A models can cover motors of 500 – 1000W with the 220V 4A model up to 2.5kW with the 220V 10A model.

Applications include all forms of refrigeration such as fridges, freezers, bottle coolers, vending machines and air conditioning as well as transport systems such as converyor belt drives and also fluid pumps. Applications for example where being able to time the unit off when not required is not an option for the end user. (In these cases the more sophisticated Enviro+ should be used).
