On injection moulding systems EnviroStart controls the start and power management of the primary hydraulic pump or pumps. Typical system savings on the majority of installations are between 12 and 20% providing paybacks of between 12 and 15 months including the cost of installation. Secondary applications exist for DPR control of the band heating elements.
EnviroStart readily accommodates the very rapid load transitions typical of injection moulding machines and smooths peak current excursions to reduce potential kVA impact on supplies.
EnviroStart motor energy control systems have been applied and used effectively on the great majority of the worlds manufacturers of injection moulding systems. Their wide applicability is because the EnviroStart is only linked to the power side o f the motor and no changes are made to the control or operational systems of the injection moulding machine. Installation of the EnviroStart is therefore transparent to the user except for the reduction in the power consumed by the hydraulic motors.
